Javi´s Cantina

The Cantina story began on July 15, 2016 in the family house on Avenida Juarez that had belonged to Javi Martinez’s grandparents. The Martinez home was remodeled into a tiny cantina and prep kitchen for Dinnertainment, a popular catering business featuring delicious food and live entertainment by Javi Martinez and Marla Bainbridge Martinez. Their original idea was to offer a small tapas menu and a selection of beverages to help offset the expenses, but they soon expanded into a full-service restaurant. Then, things really took off and they decided to trust their instincts and ride the wave. In December 2017, they expanded into the larger, private courtyard where their guests can dine under the leafy branches of a tree planted by Javi’s grandfather Esteban.
Named after his grandfather Esteban, Javier Esteban is a very proud islander. La historia de Cantina comenzó el 15 de julio de 2016 en la casa familiar de Avenida Juárez que había sido de los abuelos de Javi Martínez. La casa de los Martínez fue remodelada para convertirla en una pequeña cantina y cocina preparada para Dinnertainment, un popular negocio de catering que ofrece comida deliciosa y entretenimiento en vivo a cargo de Javi Martínez y Marla Bainbridge Martínez. Su idea original era ofrecer un pequeño menú de tapas y una selección de bebidas para ayudar a compensar los gastos, pero pronto se expandieron a un restaurante de servicio completo. Entonces, las cosas realmente despegaron y decidieron confiar en sus instintos y montar la ola. En diciembre de 2017, se expandieron al patio privado más grande donde sus invitados pueden cenar bajo las frondosas ramas de un árbol plantado por el abuelo de Javi, Esteban. Nombrado en honor a su abuelo Esteban, Javier Esteban es un isleño muy orgulloso.
